Our Gen-AI feature for test instructions is now available in our test creation wizard. This feature grants you access to OpenAI's Chat GPT while setting up tests, and is designed to help you create test instructions.
HOW TO ACTIVATE THIS FEATURE
In order to activate this feature on the Test IO dashboard, users need to select at least one feature. Additionally, before its first use, users are required to confirm AI usage directly (a one-time action only). This confirmation can be done either directly in the Gen-AI popup:

HOW TO USE THIS FEATURE AND WHICH DATA WILL BE SENT TO THE OPENAI API
In the test creation wizard, after entering a test title, selecting a test environment and choosing features for the test scope, simply click on the 'Magic Wand' button followed by 'Create Test Instructions'.
The model will then generate the instructions from scratch based on the following data:
test type
test title (if specified)
whether orders/booking are allowed (as specified for the test environment)
feature title(s) (without descriptions)
bug report language
BEST PRACTICES AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Please be aware that only the data specified above will be sent to OpenAI API. This means:
Providing a test title will help you get more relevant output from the model.
For test instructions in German,ensure the bug report language is set to German in the test creation wizard
Currently, the model cannot incorporate any pre-existing input in test instruction fields. Use the 'Back/Repeat' option beside the AI-feature in the editor to revert to previous versions of instructions.
It is essential to review the instructions generated by the model before test submission, removing or expanding these as necessary to ensure clarity and relevance.
Given the volume of instructions our testers process daily, avoid redundancy and repetition unless it's to emphasize crucial points.
Utilize our WYSIWYG editor to organize and highlight important information.
OPT OUT
You can opt out at any time on your profile page under 'AI Integration'.
Note that even after opting out, the feature will remain visible on your dashboard. Should you wish to use it again in the future, you will need to opt back in.
Further information on AI data collection can be found on your profile page under 'AI Integration'. Please note that data sent to the OpenAI API will not be used to train or improve OpenAI models.
